When I first heard of the attack, I had just walkd into my front room with my girlfriend of 1 week.
We were both shocked to see the images on the TV screen. I really did think it was a film.
Only when the Sky News Anchor man appeared, and verbally confirmed what we were seeing, did it hit home. Immediatley, we both had to sit down. My head was trying to sort the emotions I was feeling towards the victims of the tradegy. We honeslty were in shock.
Then, when the first tower collapsed, I could not come to terms with it.
My girlfriend and I watched the tribute to the WTC earlier on today on BBC2.
We just want to say, our thoughts and feelings to the people who's loved ones perished in the attack. And to all the service men and women who helped find the survivors. Our love to you all. James and Helen.

I will never forget that September 11. That was a horrible time for Americans. I will always think about the people and heroes that died that day. I was riding in my car this morning on my way to the college I attend and every radio station was talking about that terrible day and I cried all the to school.

I will never forget those that died September 11, 2001!

i was at home in Hertfordshire in the uk! Watching a video with my son when my mum called me from work to ask if i had heard about what had happened. I turned off the film and was watching what was happening on the news. As i was watching the 2nd plane hit. I didnt know anyone that was there but the thought of all those people that were there when i saw it, it felt like a bullet through my heart. All those people on the planes and in the buildings. Men, Women, and children. All those live's just taken. knowing their fate!
My mum did the New York marathon in 1999 a long time before but just to think that she cud have been there. i wud be devestated if i lost ANY of my family my mum, my dad, my husband, my son, my daughter! i cant even imagine what any of those families are going through now but my heart really does go out to them.

love and thoughts

Me and my partner had just returned from a holiday in Spain the day before September 11th. He woke me up and told me to come and watch the TV quickly, he had seen the news we all know saddens us and that we will never forget. I thought it was some wind up at first as the film makers of today can produce un real images. Unfortunately it was no film. I sat there with shock and numbness, I didnt know what to say.I have no relatives or friends over in America but I really did feel for them like they were my family. I remember ringing up my dad at work to tell the awful news, he had visited New York and been inside the WTC the previous year. He couldnt believe it either. As further horrific events unfolded that afternoon we just sat in front of the TV unable to comprehend what was happening to the world.

I thought it was never going to end and we really were doomed and I was a witness to it all. It was something I will never ever forget, but one day i will visit New York and Ground Zero and pay my own personal respects and prayers to those that didnt deserve to die that fateful day of September 11th 2002.
