September 11, 2001 will never be forgotten!
I awoke that Tuesday at about 8:40 am.(my day off from work) After getting a cup of coffee I popped in a video of the previous day's soaps to watch when the phone rang. My sister told me about the first plane hit. I hit the stop button on the VCR & then watched in horror as the second plane hit. Shortly after the second hit, my sister who lives in the neighborhood came running into my house.
"what's going on?!?!" she asked. She stayed & watched most of the day. At about 3:30-4:00 pm I told her that I need to stop watching for awhile (I was numb). I needed to go to Walmart to pick up a few things. As I drove there I felt a weird sensation come over me. All air traffic had been canceled. Just to think that over the whole United States that there were no planes in the air. It was totally numbing. The world as we knew it had really stopped turning. After supper that night we watched the news some more. At about 9:30-10:00 pm I had to stop watching again. I turned the TV to Nickelodeon. They had a Brady Bunch marathon on. I watched for a couple of hours. How ironic is that?? Watching the fantasy world of the Brady Bunch while our world was suffering.
The next day I put a flag cling in the window on my truck. I've always been patriotic but even more so now that AMERICA has been attacked. Today
I still wear a red, white, & blue ribbon on my hat at work. I have one also on my jacket. The window cling is still in my truck--fading but still there. As in our National Anthem the line states, "...gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there." America was terrorized but became stronger than ever!! As we remember those whose lives were lost, please also remember to BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!! GOD BLESS!

September 11 2001. I remember that day I was sitting in class when I heard the news. I remember sitting at my desk in total shock, seeing those images on tv was heart breaking. I remember just siting there crying not knowing what might happen next. That day will be remembered till the end of time every american will remember exactly where they were and what they were doing. My heart goes out to all the people who lost a loved on that day, they will always be remember. Now after the attacks we need to trust God even more for he is with us every day. God bless America!!!

I was getting ready for work when my mom called me and wanted me to bring a camera to her at work. A teenage girl had pulled out infront of her school bus and she needed to take pictures of her bus. The planes hadn't hit yet. After hugging my mom and making sure she was alright I went to work. The radio had mentioned something about the World Trade Center but it was hard to hear because the radio is always turned down so low and in a hair salon theres always people talking. A lady walked in and was talking to my manager about it and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It felt so unreal. One of the stylists went to her house and brought in a TV so we could watch the news. I'll never forget the feeling I had when I saw the planes hit the towers. I was scared, not for myself, but for all the people in and around the buildings. Then I looked outside checking the skies for planes. I felt so unsafe. It seemed like everyone was in shock for a long time after and all of the sudden it seemed like our country came together so strong, stronger than it has ever been. There has been so much patriotism since 9-11-01 and it just seems to grow. We are what makes this counrty, and we are what makes it stand. Nothing or no one will ever bring us down!

On Sept 11, 2001 I was driving to work on I94 eastbound. When the news of the attacks came over the radio I was right next to the Detroit Metro Airport. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
My heart goes out to all the victims and their families.
And to the many heros great and small.
Thanks.
