I was in the car on the way to school when I heard a couple seconds of the news saying "pentagon and world trade center," but I didn't hear anything else and thought nothing of it. Then, in my first period Physiology class, I heard about the first Trade Tower. Throughout that day, news was hard to come by and no one knew what happened. I never knew the full extent of the attacks until I got home at 3:30ish that afternoon. Then I watch the news and cried for a couple of hours.

I woke up at 8:30 PT and turned on my radio like I always do but, instead on hearning my favorite show, I heard that a plane had hit the world trade center in NYC. I turned on the TV and saw that not only that two planes had hit the WTC, but also one had hit the Pentagon and another plane crashed in a Pennslyvania field. When I heard that this was an attack on America I was just very angry and thought who could do this? Where I live, almost everything was shut down malls, state bulidings, the capitol, and most schools were shut down but, I still had to go to school and to work when I was driving, there was almost no one on the roads. On Friday, I went to visit my parents who live about 60 miles. On the way up there, I saw flags and banners up and down the highway. I started to cry when I heard a patriotic song. I also saw a truck that was painted like a flag and had two big flags attached to it. I have always been patriotic, but this time I have become more patriotic. Right now, I am just happy that this country can come together and be united.

I was at home, when the first plane hit, then, later, i went to school and the second hit plane hit right before science.

I was sleeping, when the first plane hit. My roommate came out of his bedroom and said "We're under attack!" and I didn't know what he meant, I just thought he was being annoying.
He turned on the TV, and I opened my eyes a little wondering what he was doing. And there on the screen, in a horrific picture, was the WTC with smoke pouring out of it.
I quickly sat up, and not 2 minutes later did the 2nd plane come into view.
"What's that plane doing?...no...no it's not gonna...OH MY GOD, NO!!!"
And I was glued to the set all day. Until I went into work at Tower Records, which was pointless. We closed early. There were actually people in there buying music. I thought "why are you here buying britney spears!? don't you know what's going on?!"
But I guess, like most people...they wanted to get away from it all.
But we never will.

I woke up early on the morning of September 11th in my Southern California apartment to study for a test that I would take later in the day. I turned on the TV while I prepared a few pieces of toast, and instantly became engaged in one of the most horrific events in our history. I watched dumbstruck as things unfolded live in front of me. Too sickened to eat, I still couldn't help feeling nauseous as images of people jumping out of windows and the WTC towers crumbling replayed over and over on television. This is my generation's Pearl Harbor attack, my generation's Kennedy Assassination, and I will never forget the morning of 911. God bless the heros and the victims of this terrible tragedy.
