It's been almost one year since the terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, injuring thousands of lives and changing America forever, but I still remember it like yesterday.
I was in school, specifically on my way down to the auditorium for a Junior class meeting. The meeting was held @ 9, when the first plane had already crashed. As I sat down in my seat, awaiting whatever boring news our class meeting was about to hold, my friend told me that a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center. I didn't think much of it at first, just some aviation accident, but nothing too big. Our meeting continued and the principal didn't mention anything about the attacks. As the meeting ended i headed back to my Programming class. As I walked in the class I saw 15 faces mesmorized by the shocking images being displayed on TV. I sat in my seat and watched for the next hour of class, the images of the planes crashing into the WTC and the Pentagon. It was seemed so unrealistic, like a scene from Independence Day. For the rest of the day in my classes the images of people jumping out of the WTC, and the buildings falling were engraved into my brain forever.

i had just returned to my classroom from doing a project at around 9:00am. i found my classmates sitting around the tv. when i asked what was going on i was told that the world trade center had been hit by a plane. for the rest of the day not one class worked. everyone sat around the tvs in their classrooms and watched in shock until 2:00pm when it was time to go home.

This event did not have any great affect on me, but I though I should post something anyway. Where Was I...
I was a part time employee of Champlain College, and a full time student. I had just gotten to work in the office that I shared with 4 other people but was meant to only hold 2 at the most. I do not remember very many specifics, but I remember hearing about it from a professor. I thought it was a joke at first until I checked a few news sites and they all agreed. Then it happened again, and I couldn't figure out what I should believe. Anyway, I moved on almost immediately. I continued working that day and that week, and I went to classes. I didn't loose anyone close to me and nobody close to me lost anyone close to them.
I suppose a lot of people would say I am heartless for not greiving at all, or taking time out of my life to morn. That is just what they wanted though, they wanted to shut us down. Instead, I opted to keep going and move on with my regular life.
