As one of Jehovah's witnesses, I was about to meet my friend in order to go out on "field service" - talking to people about a safer and better world to come. As I enterd his house, the TV was on, broadcasting the terrible pictures as they came live from NYC. I saw live, from the other side of the world, history as it happends. I saw the world, as it changes. I saw live the towers collaps. I couldn't help but remember the last time I saw them with my own eyes, When visiting NYC. I wanted to cry. I thought about all those people that are loosing their lives right now, as I sit and watch the TV screen. It was an awful feeling.

I heard about the attack when I was in scouts, and when I got back home I kept watching the re-runs of the planes flying right to the world trade center. It looked like a movie, I still don't beleive it, it's just too big, to much for me to accept.
Since I live in Israel, when terror attacks and suicide bombers kill people every day, I'm kind of used to it (that's not a good thing to say/hear, especily from a 13-year-old girl...).
As I already said, it all looks like a movie, it's too hard to accept, for me anyway.

Hi,
My name is Ellie and I live in Israel.
I was getting ready to go to a girl scouts meet when my grandmother called me into the tv room... at first i thought that it was most likely an accidant, that the plane must have gone out of control.
My second thought, which turned out to be true, was that it was a terrorist attack, but i ruled that out almost straight away, because, well--hey, it's America. things arn't meant to happen like that there...
I wasn't really shaken by it at first, because i see so much death and carnage happening to my country, that i wasnt phased by what happened... seeing something on t.v is a lot less frightening than actually being in a terror attack (i was standing at a bus stop when a suicide bomber blew himself up), but the thing that woke me up, was the number of people killed, not the terror act itself(hey, im used to them).
God bless America.
